25 Photographs Celebrating Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral
This weekend, Liverpool will celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King.
Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral opened on the 14th May 1967, and remains one of the best loved landmarks in Liverpool.
For generations, the cathedral has offered a beautiful space of worship and attracts an impressive 350,000 visitors each year.
Between Friday 2nd June to Monday 5th June the cathedral will be transformed into a vivid and vibrant Flower Festival, which visitors can attend for free.
The iconic interior of the Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral will be filled with a spectacular array of floral displays for you to admire.
We suspect you may also want to check out the Gibberd Room, which will feature delicious homemade refreshments to enjoy as you explore the cathedral.
